The New Moon’s ruling planet Mercury is in mutual reception with the Moon, meaning they are placed in each other’s ruling sign, with Mercury in Cancer and the Moon in Gemini. This lovely phenomenon boosts both planets and creates conditions where the mind and emotions are more connected than usual. You might find yourself more aware of your feelings, or thinking more about your past, family, and memories.
With Mercury facing pressure from Saturn in Aries, however, defensiveness can kill the safety that is needed for the true emotional sharing that is possible now. A mature expression of Saturn in Aries involves great self-awareness, strength, and endurance. But the downsides are immaturity, inability to see other perspectives, and unwillingness to take accountability for your issues.
