Week of December 1 ❄️ Astrology forecast

Season’s greetings! Whatever you are celebrating, I hope this update finds you well. I wish you all the merriest in the coming weeks as we move through the year’s shortest days and look ahead at what might be a few challenging months ahead, at least weather-wise.

This week’s Full Moon shows a lot of potential for healing on some different levels. On the physical plane, Mars aligns with Chiron in fire signs, showing easy gains, extra spoons, and a great window for healing treatments and non-surgical therapies Monday through Wednesday, especially.

Mercury, now direct, will pick up the pace in the coming weeks. You might welcome this return of forward momentum as we move toward the holiday and the end of year. Mercury takes center stage for a moment as ruler of the Gemini Full Moon on December 4. The messenger checks in with Jupiter and Saturn, forming a Grand Trine. An easy flow of energy through emotional water signs that bolters commerce and sales, and opens the door to communication.

We start seeing red on the calendar later in the week, which intensifies into the weekend. As Mars squares off with Saturn, a frustrating combination in changeable, unreliable, flaky mutable signs. Added friction with Jupiter in Cancer complicates the issue. This is a testing time, when you could find out who is really in your corner and who doesn’t stand behind their big promises.

  • Safety first as mutable signs can be unstable, which can lead to accidents.

  • Chronic health issues, nervous issues, digestive problems may flare.

The Full Moon stands “at the bending“– in exact square to the nodal axis, giving this Full Moon an Eclipse-like feel. Events that take place around this Full Moon may throw back to the last set of Eclipses in September 2025, or they could foreshadow the next Eclipse season in March 2026. If my estimation is correct, the Full Moon is at the North Bending, showing us moving forward into new karma rather than being stuck in the old.

Listen and learn

The wonderful Judge Judy often said, “God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason.” Take this to heart and choose your words with care. Excessive focus on details and criticism and excuses can lead to chaos that shuts down communication and creates distance in relationships. Sometimes it’s appropriate to step back and listen for the emotional content of the situation. Perfect is often the enemy of good, especially when we see the Virgo South Node in the mix.

Messages of optimism. Easy to make gains and sales. Minds are naturally more open and ready to learn.

🚩🚩 Mars inconjunct Jupiter

You want to be free. You want comfort. You want justice. Taking action on these right now, though, can make things less equal and comfortable. Consider the cost before making a move— Mars is not strong now, and the “whatever dude” energy of Jupiter tempts us all to ignore the “bridge out” sign and take a short cut, say yes when we mean no, or promise more than we are ready to deliver.

🚩🚩 Mars square Saturn

A spontaneous decision made out of fear or frustration will prove not to be the best one. Hold off on important moves if you can, and let the nasty mood of this frustrating square clear before you take action.

Physical energy tends to lag when Mars connects with Saturn. You may be feeling impatient, irritable. Chronic conditions flare. Cold muscles make us more accident and injury prone than usual. Safety first!
