Windows update buggered my laptop!
Posted under life
It’s hot here in Virginia. I work at home at least 3 days a week. Home is not air conditioned. Most of the time this is no problem, I’m no sissy when it comes to heat. But in the late afternoon and early evening, it’s hot enough to boil a monkey’s bum in here. So I abandon the safety of my Mac, pack up my Dell laptop and flee to the coffeeshop, to enjoy a decaf americano, a comfy air conditioned room, and free wireless internet. Life is good again…
Until I ran Windows Update. Now that flashy online icon shows, the computer seems to know it’s online, but no e-mail, no web, no nothing.
Now the positive thinking part of me says, (begin falsetto) this is one of life’s little signals to go do something else. Go take a walk or something. Spend a few hours away from the internet. It’s good for you. (end falsetto) But the regular part of me says, Arghghghmicrosoftarghghgh. Of course, both speak truth.

Happy 4th of July Molley. Hope you get computer running smoothly again. I was so sad to hear the news that you had lost your little kitty Boogie. I've had so many wonderful kitty friends in my life over years (in fact I've had many, many animal friends-- dogs, cats, birds, chickens, ducks, deer, rabbits and a bunch more) and it is so sad to lose a little friend. Condolences. Thank you for posting all of your wonderful links-- like the artists website and the NASA websites-- they are so interesting!Friendship,
María
