Molly,
Great to review your readings which describe the choice we have to not be a victim.
I am in for a great happening this September when Saturn conjoins my natal Mercury-Pluto-South Node conjunction in the 7th house and squares my natal Jupiter in the third house.
You can see the interesting natal aspects getting charged up..any cheerleading pep talk, concerning this energy would be appreciated.
Fine regards,
Martin
Hi Martin—
I love it that you asked me for a pep talk.
Saturn conjunct Mercury Pluto and SN, all at once, is a very big deal. A “great happening” as you put it.
I read something inspiring on Best of Craigslist this morning. A woman who had been robbed at gunpoint posted an open letter to her attacker. In it, she said:
When bad stuff happens to me now, I do my best to swallow it and spit out good in return. Sometimes that can be pretty difficult— for example, when people do things to other people like what you did to me last night. I know your life has not been fair. People must not have treated you as they should have. But unless you start accepting the hate people give you and repaying it with love, nothing is going to change. In fact, your life and my life and many others’ lives will suffer because of it. (emphasis mine)
Saturn compels, he forces the issue, he says, “You Must.” Pluto, “You Must Let Go. You Must Transform, Heal, Metamorphose. You must dig deep to your inner core of power and face your vulnerabilities.” It signals situations that bring up the kinds of feelings we all have, but we don’t like to face— weakness, jealousy, rage, revenge. Whatever has been repressed. These feelings have to emerge; you don’t have a choice about that. But you do get to choose how you are going to react to them, and that’s where your power lies.
Since it happens in your 7th house, these challenges come through relationships, people you are involved with, finding a satisfactory give-and-take. Since it involves Jupiter, it may involve disagreements about religion or a basic philosophy of life, or maybe even law enforcement.
And South Node represents old karma, lessons that go back to early childhood, to babyhood, even to past incarnations. I see transits to the South Node as opportunities to clear it, to let go. How do you transform old karma? Just like the very wise person above, who, instead of pouring salt on her wounds by indulging in hate, misery and resentment about her difficult experience, forgives and prays for the man who attacked her. That’s powerful.

I’m not saying you’ll be attacked. Nobody knows what’s going to happen. But we do know this— Saturn-Pluto is not an easy combo, and it often brings up situations where we feel out of control and shaken to the core. So here’s your pep talk: when things get intense, keep your heart open. It won’t be easy; Saturn conjunct Pluto is never easy. But if you dedicate yourself to living with compassion and integrity during this time, you will find your way out of the murkiest depths, and into the highest heights of clarity and consciousness. Like the Phoenix, you will rise from your ashes, healed and renewed, in possession of a gift that no one can take away, ever.
Blessings -Molly

OMG, that was AWESOME, Molly. I’m going through a t. Pluto square n. Pluto and I can relate to some of the stuff you posted. I so don’t want to feel that rage and pain I’ve repressed and, in fact, I don’t know HOW but this post is making it easier to understand some things. Thanks!!

Saturn is transiting natal Pluto in my fifth. My husband, Sun in the 8th, is suing me for alimony, we had a prenup, but spousal support was left out, and I could be forced to sell stocks( 5th) to pay him, since he quit his job is playing poor, and this will impact my security for the future. He’s using lots of blustery force.

transiting saturn will be conjoining my pluto/merc. in the second house.
my husband died suddenly last october, his will has gone into probate, lots of things tied up in it and now a kid who may or may not be his son, is contesting the will.
my husband and i have a 13 yr old son as well.
is this transit going to do me in financially?
4 · dottee · 14 July 2006
It is thru partnerships you will meet this energy. A rebirth. Transformation.

Hi kj,
Working on a blog entry for you.
6 · g · 30 July 2006
ok I honestly need some insight into how to handle these transit, life has become stressful as of late. I have saturn transits in leo 9th house over jupiter, venus, mars, sun, pluto. and mercury in virgo also in 9th house. Any advise ,pep talk etc would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Molly, anyone for any insight

I am starting to worry about the approaching Saturn transit to my Jupiter/Pluto/MC in Leo conjunction. I have already had a whole year of stress and worry, having moved house three times in just nine months. That is probably because transiting Uranus is conjunct natal Mercury in my 4th house. My father-in-law also died in January this year. Natal Saturn is in Sagittarius in my 1st house with Scorpio Asc. I look at life philosophically already but, despite caring and helping others, find nobody ever steps forward to help me when I am in need. To face Saturn once more without support ( aside from my husband) seems very daunting at the moment. I am not looking forward to the fall when Saturn’s influence kicks in. I wonder if I should channel the influence into politics or causes in an effort to dissipate its effects or should I just take the battering on the chin?
8 · Molly · 31 July 2006
Kittracat and G,
Channeling the energy into something positive is always favorable to taking a beating.
See my pep talk above: should things start to go off, tap into your strength. You are not powerless here!
I should tell you, I have a friend, a fantastic healer I work with. She’s healing my migraines. Recently she took a vacation to Costa Rica, where she did enough activities to make a 25 year old’s head spin. She had a great time. And transiting Saturn conjoined her Pluto during the trip. (It was the 3rd of three passes.)
9 · Lenore · 2 August 2006
Hello again Molly,
I also love Martin’s ‘pep talk’ idea.
Saturn is transiting my 12th house. Just went over my 9 degree Leo south node (opp. 6th house) and moving to Pluto at 20 and then my Asc. at 26+. Like Martin I also have the natal Jupiter in Taurus (10th house) squaring natal Pluto. Those configurations have definitely brought up fears and stress.
There is the uncertainty with doctors around the nature of a tumour I have, – with all the tests they can do, they still aren’t certain what it is! (I think that’s kind of funny and appropriate for me – they can’t figure it out!)
There also have been lots of blow-ups, changes and difficulties in outer live issues and incredible stresses. All of this has forced me to say “enough”. And although it has hurt my “rep” with a few people it has, also forced some good changes to occur in certain areas my son’s school system. All to the good.
Now I have the opportunity and have made the conscious decision to go along with this 12th house Saturn transit -especially over Pluto and the gifts my twelvth house Pluto and South Node give me – to take the next year or so as a much needed “sabbatical” from outer advocacy, etc.
I plan to spend as much time as I can on my own healing via a twelve-step program and eclectic physical healing modalities. With Jupiter transiting my fourth house that makes it easier as well to house-clean, inner and outer.
I feel that if I can take advantage of the awareness surfacing from the depths I will be able to break out of many old ideas and fears that hold me back.
Thank you again for your growth-oriented view on astrology and thank goodness there is no age limit on change!
10 · Lenore · 2 August 2006
ps: do you think my own take here will help or it might be heavier than I’m planning on? Some good changes with certain people have been made; yet I am very tired.
11 · Molly · 3 August 2006
Hi Lenore—it sounds like you have a good plan. Saturn transiting the 12th is a time when you need to take responsibility for recharging your batteries! I don’t know how heavy it will be. Anything involving the south node tends to have a lot of stuff attached to it. But it sounds like you are making the most of it.
re the South node issues, if you haven’t read Jan Spiller’s book on the Nodes (title Astrology for the Soul), it is a good time to read up on your NN in Aquarius. There is no better time to have clarity on that than during a heavy transit like this.
Blessings,

Hi Molly
My Saturn is crossing Pluto in the first as we speak—-it’s opposing a transiting Neptune in 7th. Any thoughts or suggestions? I am also concerned over my father’s health and “feel” this transit could take him out——he’s 89—-is this transit ever associated with death??Thanks, T

Dear Molly,
I am just shaking my head. I have a saturn conjunct Pluto in the 7th house (with a sextile to Neptune) and I have been stressing about it. For some reason I decided to google transits: saturn conj. pluto and this came up. And it’s so darned close to mine – even the same house – that the syncronicity is blowing me away!
Who are you anyway? I’m going to have to check out your website. My astrologer, the very wise and knowing and magnificent Elizabeth Rose Campbell, died last year and I am without support.
As it is in the 7th house, I thought that the fact that my boss is leaving in 2 weeks has to be part of this. I’m not in a relationship, so I imagine my work would sub here . . . and we’ve been so close – he’s the best boss I ever had and we’re great friends. I’m pretty upset about that, and yet, of course, excited too. But lots of fear stuff coming up so I’m going to check out your website.
Blessings,
Robin

Hi Tessa—
Death often appears as a possibility, usually in the charts of the people left behind. If it’s his time, the transit you see may signal his departure. If it isn’t, then don’t worry. Just be careful about medicating him, especially if the Saturn Neptune opposition touches his chart in some significant way. Because our body chemistry tends to shift and change during Neptune transits. Trust your intuition.
In your chart, Neptune opposing Pluto signals fear of change. So it’s important for you in your process to explore the fear you’re feeling around the loss of your father.

At this time I have transiting saturn conjunct natal pluto in 12th house ( Leo) soon to be followed with saturn conjunct my moon in 12th house as well. I also have Neptune opposing my pluto at this time. After years of intense PLUTO activity..I am much like a war-torn soldier returning from the final battle….. am so exhausted, yet amazed I am still alive! I am going through the same thing as Martin starting at the end of October, transiting Saturn conjunct Pluto Mercury in 8th house, t square Jupiter (5th) Mars (6th) opposition. I will keep your words in my consciousness (compassion and integrity) as those difficult feelings arise, and pray, as I do now, that love, unlimited, unconditioned and undelayed fill my being. For me right now, letting go of fear often means remembering that it will pass and truth exists beyond appearances. If you have any more insights specifically related to this transit in the 8th house context, please share. Much appreciated! S.
17 · S · 24 August 2006
Hi Molly – one more thing, my south node is also conjunct Mercury/Pluto in 8th house, just where Saturn will transit in October. I’ve been through 10 years of major transformation and am in the midst of another. Have become conscious of corruption on a large scale in the legal system and now faced with it directly. Can you give me some insights on clearing the 8th house part of it?
Thanks for your site and insight! S.
18 · Tessa · 24 August 2006
Thanks Molly—I feel my system clearing out, going Vegan, and am processing all the fears, letting go of old deep junk that no longer serves me—obsolete thoughts and feelings—old tapes, prejudices, like a high colonic cleansing LOL.
Transiting saturn hit my natal Pluto today in the first house and both are oppsed by the transiting Neptune in my 7th. I am seeing LOTS of codependency and addiction in my friends relationships and purging some of my own. A time of sober reality and healing. I feel my abilities as a healer are also enhanced, and residue south node (Virgo conj. Saturn) seems to be transmuting….I am no longer afriad of transits, as long as we stay in love & service and work for light.
Not so happy they demoted PLUTO—-as I love that energy….no coincidence astronmers are pondering it’s status as a planet as Neptune opposes the Pluto in Leo generation—a rude awakening for us all.
Amen

Molly:
I am currently going through a slew of Saturn transits as it is making its way across my 9th house: it is now opposing my North Node (3rd House, 20Aquarius8) while sextiling my natal Neptune in the 11th House (20Libra10). Saturn will then move on to square my natal Jupiter (6th House, 20Taurus59), square my Ascendant (21Scorpio18), and finally make a conjunction to my natal Pluto (21Leo59).
As this is all happening with transiting Saturn, transiting Jupiter is moving through my 12th house, sextiling my natal Sun in the 10th House (15Virgo56 -- the reason why I am compelled to give you such precise info), will then oppose my natal Moon in the 6th house (16Taurus49), trine my natal Uranus in the 8th House (17Cancer37), square my North Node, oppose my natal Jupiter, conjoin my Ascendant and enter the 1st House, and then square my natal Pluto.
As you can see this is quite a lot happening to me in the several weeks and I'm not sure I know how to handle all the energies that seem to be coming at me from all directions. Any insights or advice would be very appreciated.
Take care,
Ed

I am totally freaked out. Soon Saturn will conjunct Pluto in my 7th house opposing my ascendent, and near the same time Uranus will conjunct Pluto in my 4th opposing my midheaven and to top it off on Sept. 7, the lunar eclipse was conjunct Pluto in my 4th and opposing my midheaven. Any help?
21 · Pam · 18 September 2006
Oops, I meant Saturn will also be transiting my natal Pluto in the 4th, opposing midheaven.
22 · Molly · 20 September 2006
Hi Pam—
You have a choice to either freak out, or see the positive potential for ANY planetary alignment in your chart. 4th house can mean a lot of things, change of residence, clearing out your home, forgiving and letting go of the past. Saturn tests your commitment and forces the issue. Uranus brings truth to light, often in a surprising or jolting way.
23 · Pam · 20 September 2006
Thanks Molly, but what about Pluto also transiting my natal Saturn in the 7th?
24 · Molly · 20 September 2006
Pam,
I could talk for a solid half hour just about these transits, but obviously this is not the appropriate place. I do believe you would be much better served by a professional reading than by “sound bite” type encapsulations of what this transit means from random people on the internet. Take responsibility (Saturn) for forming a relationship (7th) with a healer (Pluto). That’s one very positive thing you can do to get the most out of this transit.

Thank you for a wonderful web site.. It was both interesting and comforting to see the Saturn/Pluto comments posted.
And yes I have a Transiting Saturn conjunction to my natal Pluto in the 4th house . I was searching for any seekers who had similar aspects.
With plutos assignment to a lesser planet will the effects be any less stressful?
28 · Molly · 18 October 2006
Hi Marcia—
Unfortunately, I don’t think Pluto gives a hoot what people think of him. His reclassification doesn’t alter his energy, any more than calling a zucchini a fruit makes it any different.
29 · Susanne · 4 November 2006
Hi Molly,
I currently have saturn conj pluto in the 7th and came upon your above pep talk above while browsing. I am going through a process which in spiritual alchemy is called the 3rd conjunction. One of the symbols of this is the phoenix and it is the merging of mind and matter through the avenue of the heart. In short it brings the intellect in harmony with the emotions. I was driving to Ayers Rock the other day and about 150 kilometres away I had a powerful realisation about my relationships and how I behave in them. Then I felt a squeezing in the heart which was almost painful but at the same time felt transformative – a definite shift in perception.
That evening I went to dinner and on the ground outside the restaurant I found a silver heart necklace on a chain which opened to reveal 2 empty spaces for photographs. More messages about the “heart” of the matter and the bringing together of the missing pieces of the heart. Feelings and intellect.
Early next morning I went out to the Uluru and watched the sunrise over the beautiful red rock, located in the “heart” of Australia. Carl Jung said the emerging sun revealing the “red stone” was the bringing down of consciousness into the feeling side of the spiritual seeker to be integrated.
The resultant sense of marrying the intellect and the heart came a few hours later when flying back home to Darwin, some 2000 kilometres away in the north, On the plane I began to feel nervous and anxious about the flight. Surprised, because I don’t normally get nervous flying. I do know however that intellectualising and rationalising fear is no help at all in alleviating it. This time I sat for a few moments and just focused my heart and mind on acceptance of everything that is. Acceptance of death and life, whatever the experience. The fear disappeared instantly. This was a profound moment of understanding what had happened at Ayers Rock at sunrise.
So, thank you for writing that pep talk back in Jun and for having it available on the net for me to read now as I rise out of the ashes.

I just has t pluto square sun and before that, Pluto conjunct moon.
Now, Saturn conjunct Pluto
I feel very tired.
31 · MM · 24 March 2007
Anyone have any suggestions. I am burn out on pluto and saturn both, but it seems I started a five year run four years ago. I have pluto in seventh and rules tenth. Saturn in tenth and rules ascendant. Mine above with Pluto conjunct moon and then square to sun. I have so many transits, harsh ones it is unreal. All my planets at late degrees except Venus and Mars. When I hit a run it is really good or really bad.
Saturn hit Jupiter and Uranus first, then on to pluto and my lights. Now Saturn is square Saturn and conjunct pluto.
I keep thinking wow, Pluto is sextile my mercury and Neptune and that sould be good for something, however it seems the harsh transits are out weighing the good.
I have grand cardinal cross progressed as well. Pro acen 2 aries and pro MC is 2 Cap.
I feel like I have been in a huge storm that is never ending. I am looking forward to July, Saturn will move on.
I try to take a moment at a time, use to be a pro at it. Not lately.
At least progressed Jupiter is conjunct Uranus but that is seventh house as well. LOL,
What good is that. Jup partile with Uranus exact.
Thanks for this venting page.
32 · Molly · 24 March 2007
MM,
I feel your pain. Most of us have shit-storms every now and then. For some of us, more pronounced than others because of the way the chart is. Some folks get it all at once, and others are more spread out.
There’s no other transit that’s going to “cancel out” a bad Saturn transit. Especially when it’s paired with Neptune, as it is now. So a bad Saturn AND a bad Neptune transit. YICK!
Believe me, I know… Neptune has been square my Venus, and I had a big disappointment this week.
I couldn’t figure out your situation exactly based on the info, but apparently it involves Pluto and Saturn. That tends to be pretty tough.
I don’t think transits “outweigh” each other though. As my teacher Lance said to me, “there are no ifs or buts in astrology, only ands.” You have some bad transits going on, and you have a good transit going on.
So, what do you do with the good aspects? I think of them as coping mechanisms. Places where you can find some comfort and support even though other places are uncomfortable, and help for your situation.
Pluto sextile Mercury is talking to people about it, going to a therapist, reading lots of books, finding information (Mercury) to help you transform your situation (Pluto). A person ruled by Mercury would be your sibling or other relative, a writer, person who likes to talk, a therapist, a neighbor, a co-worker.
The Jupiter progression you described looks like the completion of an aspect in your natal chart, so it may bring that natal theme into sharper focus. Things like insights of genius, new teachings that blow your mind, rebel to the max, good luck with astrology, technology, computers.

Hello there. I hope you all don’t mind me joining in the discussion here, but wanted to let you all know that you are not alone. I too have Saturn hitting my Pluto in the 11th on my natal and the 12th on a relocation chart. In addition, I’ve got transiting Pluto conjunct my natal mars in the 3rd natal and 4th relo. Talk about stress? Scorpio rules my 2nd! and things are getting “scary” to say the least. To complicate things even more, transiting mars is opposing my natal Pluto and squares natal Saturn in the 2nd. Am I doomed to be homeless and penniless? Things talk about a “life structure change” but I haven’t got a clue on what to change. I can’t seem to get out from under the cloud of this negativity and am approaching a desire to end it all because there’s some things I just can’t-won’t do and homeless is one of them. I’ve been applying for jobs for the last decade with not much success. I already had to sell my house after filing bankruptcy last year. Now I’m in a tiny rent house and am currently behind with rent, utilities, etc. My landlord is not happy and has twice put an “eviction” notice on my doorstep. I paid him before, but the 1st is coming fast. Any thoughts, insights, suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.

i am also currently having saturn conjuncting natal pluto, with neptune opposing it. also my venus sits at that degree of aquarius, so neptune is hitting it also. and today is the full moon in libra, right on my nodal axis.
my recent realization is that i have been holding on to an idea that the people in my life are stubborn and hurtful, and i have been pained by this. suddenly today, the light went on. it is true that these loved ones have been hurtful, but so what. there is nothing one can do. let it go. that is the illumination. let it be. i had not realized how stubborn i was being in holding on to my idea of how things should be. pluto. wants to hold on. neptune. urges to let go. sigh. can you all do the same? think about it. i mean really, really think about it. i have embraced my part in this. that is the only freedom i have.

Hi, Molly,
Saturn will station on my 1st house Pluto in December 2007; NN is nearby at 10 degrees. It will also trine my 5th house Jupiter/Juno conjunction. This will also be my Solar Return Saturn. Pluto rules 4th; Jupiter rules 5th. Will I be in for a year of trauma due to this Saturn station? Thanks in advance.
36 · Molly · 17 November 2007
A year of trauma? Honestly, some of you are so fearful, so ready to buy into the most negative interpretation you can come up with. It makes me sad to read these questions.
Whatever house it’s in may be a source of some stress, but the trine to Jupiter helps give it a positive outlet IF you take a proactive stance and don't blame others and believe yourself to be some kind of victim.

These posts are amazing, I just realized I have Saturn conjunct Pluto in my seventh after getting together with someone I haven’t seen in 13 years, we met 14 years ago (Saturn), we broke up due to my personal fears of having ‘the one’ I was looking for before that and since then. We spent the last 10 years with different people and NOW with this conjunction off by only one degree before it went retro we got together for a weekend which brought on all kinds of things, all the heavy Pluto – Soul Mate energies coming through from this. I’m working on my breathing as if it’s a Kundalini Rising experience, that helps! I read someone posted re the Breath and Heart. That’s what I started working on before I read the post here – must be something to it. Not sure how I’m going to handle all of this this through August 2008… but I hope this will work out this time.
It helps knowing your not alone in a very strange place to be, thanks!

41 · dahanaly · 25 January 2008
Hi, I this is my first post.
Saturn has begun transiting my natal 5th house – conjunct my natal Uranus r, Pluto r, and Mars r, in Virgo.
This transiting Saturn is making opposition to my natal Mercury, Chiron, Sun, Saturn and Venus in 11th Pisces.
This transiting Saturn is trine my natal Jupiter in 12th house Taurus, and sextile my natal Neptune r in 6th house Scorpio.
(Yes my chart is a mystic rectangle involving all my natal planets in four signs- except natal moon which is unaspected in 12th house Aries.)
I just started reading about astrology and my own chart about six months ago.
Yes, I am a 42. My major midlife transits are right now, or just past.
I am a married for 22 yrs, a woman with two sons ages 15 and 9.
My late father, my husband, and first son are Virgo suns. My second-born son is Virgo rising.
All this Virgo in fifth stuff, and the Virgo males in my life…..
And Saturn transiting my mystic rectangle in Virgo.
I am on the fence regarding belief in karma and past lives, but if I was an adherent, I would say that my chart shows much karma stuff involving men. Maybe I was a man in past life… a clairvoiant once told me I indeed was.
Any posts are welcome if you have insight and or experience with this. Or if you have an insight with just one part of my Saturn transits that is very welcome, or perhaps you are intuitive and caught a flash of something while reading, I’d just love to hear it.
or if you have insights about this arriving Saturn simultaneously aspecting all of the planets in my chart (excepting my poor, little unaspected Aries Moon XII as I wrote above) :D
So that makes me Pisces sun, Gemini rising, and Aries moon.
Thank you for reading my post, I am sure enjoying reading the posts in this thread thus far. :)
-Yours, Dahanaly
42 · Molly · 31 January 2008
Hi Dahanaly—
Saturn transits tend to go best if you’re willing to work and take responsibility when things go wrong.
Pisces often tolerate the intolerable for too long. Then they step into the victim role either to gain sympathy or avoid taking responsibility. Your Saturn transits will go much better if you take responsibility.

Hi Molly,
Thank you so much for this post, full of usefull information.
I am writting today regarding the transitting Pluto conjunct North Node…
I have been having hard aspects for the past years. Now dealing with Saturn (T)conjunct Moon – in 10th, which should at least advance my career :) – Uranus (T) opp. my moon, just crossed my IC – I lost someone whom I thought I would spend the rest of my life with and moved…
My question centers around Pluto (T), it has been conjunct my North Node and is opposite Saturn (North Node on the cups of second, and Saturn on the cup of 8th). My finances have been going downhill for the past year – addiction-related – and I am finding myself filling for bankruptcy – clean start as they call it :|
Since Pluto is a slow moving planet, what time frame would you consider to be the highest effects one feels? Is it when it goes at a 0 degree angle?
I also have another question, I find myself not wanting any partnership at all, I need to be by myself, and my Venus won’t be aspected by any transitting planet for the next 2/3 years… Is there a connection between the two?
Thanks again :)

Hi Molly, Your insight is amazing…if I could ask:
I have a natal t square from Pluto in 6th opposing Jupiter 12th both square sun in 2nd. Saturn over these angles always produces MRIs and possible diagnosis…but I change my ‘mindset ‘ and ‘whatever it is’ goes away…Now that Saturn is in the 6th, sickness seems more real to me. (I have Aries rising and moon…with Gem sun so head/brain issues is where I store the yuckadoo ) Saturn is also trining midheaven….can I have a pep talk?
At the same time I have Uranus square Mercury and Neptune trine Mercury (ruler of 3rd). I am feeling quite isolated and ‘bonkers.’ Transiting Pluto and Saturn are both grand trining Mars…ruler of ascendent….is there a silver lining here for me? In typical Pluto fashion I feel like I will either grasp the golden ring or perish….Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I just found this site. I have transiting Saturn (as we speak) stationing direct on Pluto (6th) and squaring Sun (last ugly hit).
Saturn sext. Neptune and Neptune sext. Saturn (not helping, I am thinking any of those pairings bring up weaknesses/debility’s physical in nature). Chiron is semi-squ. Asc. till May 15 th.
I’ve been through a pile-up in 12 house recently too. Mars squared Asc. of course.
Pluto was conj. Saturn for 2 years, then the Saturn conj. Pluto for 1 year. Pluto is opposing my moon (last will be Oct. 08). It’s been really not bearable. I’m alive, and I understand some of the why’s, but it doesn’t help much. Sick pets, no job and finances at a loss of unprecedented rate. Jupiter stuff starts to kick in next year, alot of it—but can I hold on until then??
46 · Molly · 26 April 2008
TO, I suggest you read up on those sextiles and start looking for opportunities. Saturn Neptune going both ways is major good news. But sextiles will not grab you by the collar and plant you in a better place without you doing anything to engage the energy. I understand that you have been through a lot, but it sounds like you’re not seeing the good that’s already present. Don’t wait for Jupiter to fix things for you… with Saturn on your Sun, it is up to you to stop the bleeding. And there are opportunities around you. Don’t waste them.

Next month saturn is going to transit my moon/pluto/uranus conjunction in virgo. opposition jupiter in pieces.
Im not sure of the house as dont know my accurate ascendant. Possibly going throught hte 6th house.
Ive just been through 3 tears of pluto conjunst sunsign that was the worst time in my life. Im worried about this next whammy transit. Do you have any advice as to what to expect and what to watch out for?
48 · Molly · 12 July 2008
Hi Shaun— You should expect there to be a lot to handle. Saturn brings work. If you see yourself as the victim of something happening to you and aren’t willing to take a good hard look at how YOU are responsible and how YOU have to change if you want your world to change, you’ll have a really hard time. If you accept what comes your way and go into it determined that you will handle it with maturity, integrity and responsibility, you will do fine. This is true of any transit of Saturn to any important place in your chart.
This is my new Saturn motto: Put on your big girl panties and deal with it!

Molly
Thanks for your reply. Can I ask you what you mean when you say saturn brings work. My moon sign is Virgo conjunct Pluto/Uranus-with Jupiter in opposition in natal Picies. What sort of things would be likely to happen given this planetry set up with a miserable Saturn transiting across Virgo/moon etc over the next 3/4 years I think.
Ive read all kinds of terrible things from death to poverty lonliness and the list goes on!
Also what if any could be the good things
I’d appriciate some advice.thanks
50 · Molly · 17 July 2008
Yes Shaun. There can be good things, but they won’t fall in your lap. You have to work to make them happen. Internal work on yourself, and external work on your goals. That’s what I mean by work. It’s up to you to make the good things happen. And circumstances, people around you will tend to show you where things aren’t working and you need to pay attention. It’s just work. Nothing to be afraid of.
A Saturn transit is not 3-4 years. It is typically done within 9 months or so. If you want more details, you can book a personal consultation with me.

to shaun: i presume that you were born in the 1966 sagitarius neighborhood? – at any rate, there’s a book by robert svoboda called :“the greatness of saturn” that i could recommend. – in vedic astrology (which i don’t apply too much) you are going through a period called sadi seti or something like that. – you might want to read up on it. – it’s not the most cheery time… – and understanding does not spare the suffering, but it helps over some bumps and hurdles while you sit in hell and are getting roasted :-) Saturn on moon is the classic ‘grow up already’ time when it occurs beyond the teenage years. – for pluto conj sun … the summerian Inanna tale is quite illuminating in my experience. or for any pluto contacts for that matter! – you are being disembled, that’s all. – for anything pluto related, books by jeffrey wolf green are treasures. – and in the thick of all that, the most what one can do is have a cup of strong hot tea, take a bath and remind oneself that everything has an expiration date, like yogurt … – and if that does not cut it, have another cup of strong hot tea … ciao, c.
52 · Susanna · 29 July 2008
To Claudia: I agree with your “positive” approach to Saturn transits and are pretty shocked that so many people have a fatalistic/negative conception of Saturn. In the last 1,5 years I experienced for the second time the Saturn transit through my 12th house. Saturn is now conj. Asc., soon opposite to my natal Saturn and then transiting natal Pluto/Uranus – yes, it is not easy but it is nothing to be afraid of. I learned to see Saturn as my companion and teacher and actually, approx. 30 years ago, during the same transit (I can tell because I wrote a diary) it was quite an exciting time. Without Saturn we wouldn’t be challenged, we would not change or re-evaluate our position and thus not grow.
Saturn should not be feared – just respected.
Thanks Molly for this forum!

well, thanks for that info..I’ll take a look and see if I can find any of those books. Thats right and and the pluto sun transit was horrible. I was hoping it would be fun but I can honestly say it wasnt!
but yeah Im still alive and obviously Im pretty tough to deal with all of that.Guess its my pluto moon means Im used to sitting around in hell anyway.
Saturn has already made a few changes and seems to be stripping things away. In a different way to Pluto which basically just clears the decks. Anyone out there have any pluto transit stories to tell??
54 · A.J · 6 August 2008
Hi everyone,
Pluto transits? I’ve had quite a few. So far Pluto has transited (conjunct) my descendant, uranus, sun, neptune, jupiter, mercury and venus. Soon it will conjunct my MC too!
Also, over these last few months, I’ve experienced a T-sq Saturn transit. Saturn opposed my Moon and squared my Saturn, Neptune and Sun. That was quite tough but I feel much better now that’s all passed (5 degrees ago).
Also, I’m having Pluto sq Pluto right now. Yes, I’m at that age, coming up to 37.
My experience thus far is this: Pluto transits are painful but truly amazing if you let it (whatever IT is supposed to be!) happen.
My life has been quite an interesting story – to say the least. I’ve gone through a number of life changing experiences. So now, I’m embarking on writing a series of novels called “The Plutonian Chronicles” all about transformation and the painful, obsessive, transforming, rebirthing, enlightning stuff that goes on with the different transits, especially Pluto conjunct our personal planets. All in story form.
I hope you will let me share something with you all after reading all of your posts here:-
Hard transits can feel very threatening especially before they start. We anticipate and worry about them so much before they even happen – when we are still unsure what they are going to do to us! I’m no exception either (slaps wrist). Although, sometimes, through it all we tend to forget that they help us to grow and learn and change our life for the better.
I hope I can finish penning down all the insights I’ve learnt through all my incredible journeys with the ups and downs of life and make these stories truly represent the Plutonian transits as accurately as I can. Then perhaps, by reading them, we can share these experiences and eliminate some of that fear. Life is meant to be great. Hard transits wake us up to reality and they can hurt but when we try and see that “Bigger Picture” we become more aware of what we need to go through. It’s ulimately a positive experience even though it totally sucks at the time.
So, let’s not dwell too much on this fear of transits. Please! Keep living life and don’t waste it away with worrying.
A meteorite might fall out of the sky and land on my head tommorrow. I’m still going to spend today taking each moment as it comes and try and finish my series of stories.
(I’ll even give myself the Pluto conjunct my MC as a deadline.)
; )

To SHAUN: hope you could find those resources. Don’t know if it’s in accordance to the site usage to post a link; would be happy to provide link/pdf’s about this topic. Any idea how to arrange that?
The Svoboda book is quite easy to find too. Smallish book, perhaps 14$ (?) (Bought it ten yrs ago, i.e. can’t recall exact price for sure.)
I have Pluto aspect-ing every planet [perhaps minus Saturn] and some angles – in my chart, thus Pluto has his fingers in all my tea cups so to speak, and there’s no way around it: he’s ever present. And not much in life – as it showed up – is on my own terms.
That’s a strange notion in this culture here that thrives on “pull-up-on-your-bootstrapsâ€?, “do somethingâ€?, “improve – achieveâ€? attitudes and ideas. But that’s how it presented itself. Facing Pluto, the new-agey idea of “Be the master of your destinyâ€? stands the chance of an ice cube in hell. Perhaps with little Pluto signatures in a chart, one gets to keep illusions and fancies a bit longer? Dunno… –
Of course, planets don’t make anything happen, they just reflect processes already afoot.
– Might be useful to acquaint yourself w/ the Pluto/Hades archetype, reading those Greek myth tales and related stories (Persephone, Inanna, etc). AND to remember that it’s a NON-personal force. (as Neptune & Uranus) A thunderstorm is not out to terrify and wet you personally…it’s just a force being unleashed, making itself known.
And Pluto will not remove/destroy what isn’t dead and decayed already anyway. I.e. if you are holding onto a cherished notion/M.O./person/ideal/illusion that has outlived it’s purpose or was never suitable to begin with, and Pluto knocks on your doors, chances are: Pluto cleans up and out – resistance is possible, but futile/not advisable and ultimately useless.
You are not getting many choices at all, and if, they can be of this nature: “Wanna get executed by shot or rope?â€? or any variation of this theme. – But this might not be a good example … – since Pluto does not kill what’s alive and vital, but only the decaying parts. Either way, after a Pluto transit/ transformation/ metamorphosis, your molecules will be re-arranged ď?Š
What particular Pluto transits are you inquiring about?
In my observation/experience…whatever Pluto touches WILL be changed/transformed/metamorphosed. Can’t jump into the ocean and stay dry …
Question always is: how much consciousness will YOU bring into the experience??
And with Pluto/moon …aren’t you more at home in the Underworlds (and I don’t mean “mafia here) anyway?

to SUSANNA:
completely agree: Saturn to be respected, not feared.
It reminds me of what I’ve read once on a e-mail signature:
“One is young only once,
But can remain immature indefinitly”.
People who subscribe to that would strongly dislike any Saturn flavors, wouldn’t you say? ;-)
Saturn also ‘rules’ skin and bones … and imagine how effective we would be without the skin (boundries) and bones (structure – support) around us?
just a heap of somethings.
Kind Regards,
C

I have wondered for the last few years – why my life had become so…educational.
And I found out yesterday that I have been going thru a Saturn Conjunt Pluto for the last 2 years and it ends tomorrow.
I wanna thank the forces that make this world turn for loving me thru every moment of these last few years – Never leave me – I know God loves me just as I am and I want to say others facing this influence;
This alignment as taught me about faith and it’s place within my every day existance.
What Molly says about gaining gifts that nobody can ever, EVER take away from you is very true. Saturn is a teacher – everything will be fine – but listen to him close and know that everything that is happening is working out for your good. EVERYTHING. Love Yourselfs.

I have been very deeply interested in someone for most of this year but we have some serious neptune connections and we’ve both stayed away. Despite very powerful karmic feelings, I am doubting myself because of so many challenging transits in the past two years and I guess because he is of a similar age maybe he is going through the same…self-doubts, second guessing…it’s horrible. The chemistry is there but we just can’t seem to connect.
In December our composite chart shows saturn conjuncting pluto in the seventh house near the descendant. I’m wondering what this will bring? Pluto and Uranus are both in the seventh house in Virgo trined with mars in the elventh in capricorn. We both have natal saturn in Aries. Will something violent happen or friends stir up trouble?
I’m thinking pluto into capricorn might stir up something as well.
Just a feeling that something is coming.
PS: I have a Sun-Pluto-Uranus conjunction in Virgo and his pluto conjuncts my sun. Help!

Bollocks, your completely missing the point of astrology.
This fear soaked attitude that the planets in someway compel
us to face our ‘lessons’ is so neurotically self centered, and more descriptive of our absorbed neuroses and prejudices and endlessly rehashed theories, than any kind of observable fact. There are the planets in the solar system doing their thing for millions upon millions upon millions of years. And there are we for just a teeny weeny blip! And wonderfully we have designed and subscribed a system of thought to them that is both beautifully simple and endlessly complex. And the synchronicity is sometimes astounding, but it is a neutral field that we hang our various hats on,usually without research or serious observation. Saturn is just Saturn and the archetype we hang on it is too often just reiterated from previous authors, rather than personally discovered. Astrology is the perfect example of just a little bit of knowledge being a very dangerous thing. Observation, hindsight, detatchment and a sense of proportion are essential otherwise you will forever be ‘pointing the bone’[australian aboriginal saying] at yourself,or others. After all everybody is experiencing transits continually and you can bet non of ours are especially unique.

@Sam: thank you so much for checking in. I saw Georgia Stathis speak on Eclipses last night. She talked a little bit about Pluto transits. What she said, I think, can apply to Saturn conjunct Pluto too. Her Pluto quote was this: “Sacrifice on my altar the things you think you can’t live without, and I will give you your life back.” I thought that was profound and a little unsettling, as Pluto moves closer every day to a square to my Sun. But I do know how good it feels to have “graduated,” and I congratulate you. :)
@Francis: Good morning to you too. Did someone pee in your oatmeal? I’m sorry you’re feeling so cranky that you need to come into someone else’s space and say such patronizing things. Best wishes and good luck in your practice.

Pluto & Saturn, My oh my, I’ve never seen so many comments, Rightly so too. I agree wholeheartedly with your response. It is a core-shaking, rattle to the bones event. Yet, when you get tired of being rattled, you will burst forth, drop everything to pick up your pieces, and what you will realize, or I realized… IS what you are being rattled about are your weaknesses, things that weaken you. Whatever your trip is, there are things you must correct before you can go onto the next course…so to speak. Must let go,”“ for Pluto is very appropriate, if you don’t let go, it will be taken from you or you will fall over it, or it may burry you in one sense or another.
The step back and breathe in deep approach is very useful, as Molly stated. Take a big sucking breathe of compasssion and breathe out gratitude. If you don’t you will just rattle away, because there is not a whole lot you can do to fight Pluto or Saturn when they are at your doorstep. I will never try to shut my door to them again. EVER. But they don’t visit that often, when they do, as she said, you never forget – those lessons are with you for life. Whether you learn them or not. If you don’t learn right off, they just peck away at you endlessly until you do get it.
Q. I have T-Pluto conjunct my North Node (almost descendant) and Opposing my N-Moon (12th almost ascendant), during this the next year, my progressed moon will also make a conjunction with natal moon. I am not looking forward to that at all.
So Molly, am I right about this…Either Some creepy peepey is going to rip my heart out (moon/12) when my natal moon progresses, Or else my mom will pass away, I guess that’s the other real possibility w/Pluto involved. Ahhhhh!
I also have Natal Pluto nearly conj. my progressed ASC. square T-Saturn for a good year yet. Oh, I thought this was getting easier, seems t have been going on for so long already! Do you know Any other great ways to ride this wave out? I guess stop struggling or fearing these Pluto and Staturn events. Let it go. Is that the only hope?

Dear Molly,
I’m happy to find your site. I just googled Transiting Saturn conjunct South Node and found myself here. That’s a lot of comments! Interesting that so many other people who posted seem to also have the big event in the 7th house as well. Saturn is going to turn retrograde on my Virgo South Node (and my natal Pluto is nearby at 23 Virgo) so this has been an illuminating comment stream for me! My question is about the Virgo South Node and Saturn in Virgo having a lot in common (to me anyway, I may be wrong…). Would Saturn on the Virgo SN be pulling me more in a South Node type direction? I generally use Saturn transits by working really hard to better myself in some way, nose to the grindstone, but Virgo SN can overdo that kind of thing and miss the big, ecstatic Piscean picture… Any advice on how to “do” Saturn on the SN and Pluto, without turning into a compulsive mess? And yes, this means Uranus has been on my NN this year. Holy moly, that was not fun, but I am kind of excited to see what the long term prospects of that are.
Thanks for your thoughts if you can!

Hi Reefaround—
To me, transits to the SN signal the need to let go of something. With Pluto on your SN, it may be about letting go of feeling like you need to be in control, and using your power to help others. Good luck.

I have natal Uranus (20 degrees) & Pluto (18 degrees)in Virgo conjunct the midheaven at 22 degrees. Saturn is conjuncting all three right now and squaring the sun.
With Pluto involved, my present teaching job is ending. Im ok with this. This last month, Ive had 2 interviews with some cool & innovative schools. One with an international school in Brazil and another with the County of Education. I dont think I will get either one! I spoke Spanish poorly and the Saturn square has sunk its teeth into my self confidence. I need to study way more!!
With Saturn involved, I feel the need for self evaluation. Ive been questioning what I want to do and where I want to be. I finally decided to finish my MA in Spanish this year! I’ll be taking classes this winter, spring and summer too. (Saturn is transiting the 9th house).
With Uranus there as well, Im thinking that next August, something new and excting will come my way, although at the momment, Im more dealing with the square and why the heck I wasnt offered that job!! I cant wait to see what happens!
Any comments or opinions much appreciated!!
Great site by the way!

I forgot to add that I also have Uranus transiting the IC and opposing the MC, Uranus & Pluto at the top of the chart. Im craving a trip to Baja Sur & I might be able to go on that trip.
Perhaps its transiting Uranus or Saturn stationary on the MC or its stationary Saturn squaring natal sun, but everything is in sloooow motion. Things are not going my way with regards to the career. Self confidance is way down. Its like a giant road block and Im sitting here in my car looking around but nothing is happening. I despise Saturn. Any comments Molly? thanks!
68 · Molly · 8 January 2009
Hey Adam— to me, the Saturn transit is loud and clear— you tried to move ahead and came up against an obstacle (insufficient Spanish) that you can now work (Saturn) to overcome. You can see stumbling blocks or building blocks. So don’t think of it as a roadblock, think of it as a really big flight of stairs you have to get up.
I actually have grown to love Saturn transits, even though they really suck to go through sometimes. I really do welcome them, because they make it so clear what you need to work on.
Saturn doesn’t eff up what’s working. Saturn effs up what isn’t working well— here’s what it is, and you can fix it, so fix it. Saturn on the MC is a very positive sign, and Saturn in the 10th is usually a time when you can advance in your field and take on more responsibility. You have choices to make and mucho trabajo to do, mi amigo. So make a plan.
P.S. Maybe this could help you, Adam. A friend of mine runs a website with some great resources: www.freelanguage.org

Greetings all,
Pluto is my chart ruler and is in the 10th. Now, I have t Saturn conjunct n Pluto in the 10th opposed by t Uranus in the 4th. Parents and career. My folks are getting old and recent health problems with my Dad are forcing my parents to look at their old age and their lifestyles (whether to continue living in their big house, who will care for them, etc). My brother and I have worried a lot about their safety and our obligation to care for them, but ultimately they have to make the decisions, not us (not now anyway). At least we are all talking and addressing our concerns. Confronting parental mortality and all that goes along with that.
Also, I have been working a lot and stressed about it, but decided to make some changes: yoga and meditation, more gratitude (man, am I lucky),eating better, seeing a therapist, going on meds, praying a lot, spending time with friends, making goals with time lines. I have felt stuck in my career forever, but feel like there are no clear options (particularly in this economy), so my approach has been to not fight it and suck it up for now. Day by day.
Over Xmas 2008, I had the absolute worst anxiety of my life. Now, I am feeling better and just “negotiating” with some of my demons (fear) and addressing these feelings. My therapist has helped me to visualize my feelings as “beings” and have dialogues with them. Asking the fear being: “what is it that you want?” and then basically working out a plan. Sort of like couples therapy with your demons. Hope this helps.
PS when saturn crossed my MC and hit Jupiter, I received an important award for an art piece that was bought for a library’s special collection. Saturn sometimes brings recognition for hard work! Not all bad.

Alot of fear for pluto out there. Helps to know pluto rules countries like Afganistan. Then you can be afraid. It rules masses. It rules clearing out the deadwood. In 1966 pluto cojoined Uranus and the masses wanted progress so women’s lib and universal woodstock (love)@ protests came about shaking things up – for quite some time. Now that transiting saturn’s striking those planets for my son born 1966 – Obama has come along and the masses once again are ready for progress, the gates are opening and my son uses saturn to get down in there and walk through those gates with the majority. Democracy USA. Afganistan is on the agenda. Obama has a trine from venus in the 5th to the 9th spiritual house or far off places. Love is the Master. Saturn has retrograded and sits once again on Pluto Uranus so I watch with interest to see if another mass event will resonate and then it will have one more time to move forward over the conjunction and finalize but yet be years in the consequences of it all.

Hi,
I have an upcoming saturn conjunct pluto in the seventh house that concerns me. Currently, my Saturn in exactly conjunct my 7th house cusp. (Also trine my Sun and sextile my moon). And just recently a woman I’ve loved for years (and Vice-versa) has just contacted me out of the blue. A astrology hobbyist, I checked her chart and her Saturn is conjunct Pluto in her 12th house.(Also sextile her Sun, Moon, and Neptune). She said she reached out to me because she needed to “ground”. Amazingly, our charts are almost opposite my rising is just a few degrees from her descendent so we tend to experience the transits at opposite ends of the spectrum. Which is probably the reason we’ve always loved each other deeply but never connected. With Saturn in my 7th AND in her 12th, both on or nearing a Pluto conjunction… Is this a repeat of several failed attempts and finally connecting? Or is it a shot at the title for both of us… We both seem to be reaching across the table this time at the same time …Any comments would be appreciated!!!

I am so happy I came across this entry you posted. Saturn will be conjuncting my natal Pluto in Libra in the 12th house near the end of November. I am currently experiencing Tr. Saturn opp. My sun-mercury in the 5th, sq. natal moon in Gemini in the 9th, as well as tr.Uranus Conj. Sun-Merc, and sq. my moon. It’s a miracle I’m still standing.
I’ve lost my job, and I’m being taken to land lord tenent court for falling behind on my rent. I will be job hunting next week, and I just keep god in my heart, and know that this too shall pass. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified.
I am concerned about that Saturn conjuncting my pluto in the 12th because it will be opp. my natal Chiron in Aries in the 6th. I am worried about my health. Or maybe I will be starting a new diet, who knows! I just pray that god protects me and my children, and all of those here who are dealing with difficulties.

Hi,
I am approaching a conjunction of transiting pluto to my midheaven. It frightens me because of the current lousy economy. I just lost my job. Is there any positive hope for my career? My birthdate is 10/28/1958 5 pm mt. I have several natal planets in scorpio – jupiter, venus, sun. These square off with all the transiting planetary conjuctions in aquarius, right? My natal chiron is in aquarius, squaring many natal planets. How likely is the phoenix to emerge from the ashes? Thanks

Hi Molly,
I checked back to this page after a nearly year to find your reply. Thankyou! And yes it was a real sweet graduation. The line you included regarding Pluto compelled me to post again –
“Sacrifice on my altar the things you think you can’t live without, and I will give you your life back.
I mean THAT is really Pluto. REALLY. I have Sun Square pluto natally, and so that line hits me hard. It’s almost like as soon as something/one in my life really matters to me it is removed. Swiftly – just like that. It’s been like that a lot of my life – The powerlessness feeling is…obliterating BUT you are left with a real sense of the real power inside the human soul that comes from WITHIN. Not from anything “in the world”
Pluto is a dark one…but I respect the planet (mainly because I have been forced lol)
- There are some amazing books about Pluto (eg The Steve Garrett, Jeff Green books) I would reccomend to people because just having a sense of the purpose of Pluto helps hugely. There is help out there for us.
Right now I’m dealing with Chiron and some real gritty but waaay overdue healing but that’s a whole other post…:)

hello everyone
natally i have sun (10th) square pluto (7th). transiting saturn is conjuncting pluto right now. i went through a pluto mc conjunction a few years ago and pluto is now 4 degrees away from my sun. by all means it has been an intensely transforming time in the last 5 years, digging deaper and deaper i sometimes get scared that i get lost in the depth of things and, that i get too intense for other people. i changed my profession and started new studies, which was awesome, i have moved countries twice, 2 boyfriens broke up with me, the last one i find very difficult to forget and it seems i will never stop loving him, even tough its been over a year since he broke up. i have learnt so much, yet still not enough, it feels like being on a rocket to consiousness and awareness, which has been rough but so rewarding as well. sometimes i feel lost because i dont have many people around me to share this intensity with, and i am not able to small talk anymore. letting go of loved ones is the hardest task of all for me.
well and now, since pluto is approaching my sun…i do wonder what other surprises i am in for, as i dont really know where else it could take me, as i am already in myself so deeply….
i wish all my fellow warriors out there much strengh and self-love!
