I do get some very good questions about this transit. Rita wrote:

Hello there… I too have Saturn hitting my Pluto in the 11th on my natal and the 12th on a relocation chart. In addition, I’ve got transiting Pluto conjunct my natal mars in the 3rd natal and 4th relo. Talk about stress? Scorpio rules my 2nd! and things are getting “scary” to say the least. To complicate things even more, transiting mars is opposing my natal Pluto and squares natal Saturn in the 2nd. Am I doomed to be homeless and penniless? Things talk about a “life structure change” but I haven’t got a clue on what to change. I can’t seem to get out from under the cloud of this negativity and am approaching a desire to end it all because there’s some things I just can’t-won’t do and homeless is one of them. I’ve been applying for jobs for the last decade with not much success. I already had to sell my house after filing bankruptcy last year. Now I’m in a tiny rent house and am currently behind with rent, utilities, etc. My landlord is not happy and has twice put an “eviction” notice on my doorstep. I paid him before, but the 1st is coming fast. Any thoughts, insights, suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

Rita,

I hope you weren’t kidding when you said you wanted my thoughts. Because I’m going to tell you what I think, even though it might not be what you want to hear.

I don’t mean to be an asshole by saying this, but it’s hard for me to believe that you are unemployable.

The 2nd house is your resources, and Saturn conjunct your 2nd house ruler, and your 2nd house ruler conjunct Mars, compels you to take action, and draw on your resources. All of them, not just the ones that are applicable to your chosen field. You can get through this, but I think you might have to change your approach. It’s clear from your note that you’re intelligent and articulate. Surely there is a way for a smart cookie like you to come up with the money to cover your basic needs. Surely there are people who need your skills.

I do not think you are doomed at all. To be perfectly honest, I sense from your comment that the “cloud of negativity” you’re under is one you have created yourself. It may have served a protective purpose at a time in your life when you were more vulnerable, but now it is keeping you from opening your mind and facing your fears. And you need to face those fears now, in order to break out of this cycle. It’s difficult, I know.

The good news is, the negativity is yours. That means you are in control. You can reverse this downward spiral you’re in— and replace the thoughts, beliefs and attitudes that drain you, with ones that support and uplift you. The truth is, you are better than this. You are a powerhouse. You have a lot to give, and you need to be using that energy right now. If you don’t have a job to go to, volunteer somewhere until you do. Giving your time and energy to a cause will put you in a much better frame of mind. It’s time to break through, shed that skin and start a new chapter in your life. That’s what transits of and to Pluto are all about.

We astrologers have a saying: use the energy, or it will use you. It is far better to be the agent of change than the victim of change.

I’m rooting for you, Rita. Good luck.
