Victoria writes:I have my sun in Leo. It was really a hard period for me the last 2 years. AS never before.
Also in Love matters. The problem now is that my Venus is in Virgo. Am i going to be alone again the next 2 years????
I just cant be more depressed!!!!
Victoria honey, you have been through some very difficult transits in the past 2 years. Not just from Saturn, but also from Neptune. So it’s no wonder you’re feeling frustrated. But you are reading the astrology of it in an unhealthy way. If you perceive yourself to be Saturn’s victim, then you probably will be miserable long-term. But Saturn transits can be very good if you have the right attitude about them.
I remember Saturn transiting my Sun. It was HARD! I lost a very valuable relationship, lost my job more than once, lost friends, had no money. The list goes on.
But there was a good side— Saturn sobered me up. After Saturn transited my Sun, I started to study astrology, which helped me understand myself. And that understanding started me on the road to changing my miserable reality. My first astrology teacher, Lance Ferguson often says, it’s better to be the agent of change than the victim of change. Saturn transits impose on you the choice— are you going to admit you could have done better and work on yourself, or will you continue to suffer? What’s it gonna be? With Saturn, I realized my crummy situation was my own fault. But that also meant that I was in charge, and I could decide to continue on a miserable path, or change my course.
So how does one change her course? I think it starts with accepting and making peace with the fact that you’re not perfect and never will be. That’s a toughie. You’re a Leo, and I’m a Leo Moon, and I understand intimately how painful it is for Leo to embrace her weakness. But it immediately frees up a lot of creative energy.
With transit Saturn conjunct your natal Venus, the question is, are you going to take responsibility for creating the relationships you want, or are you going to cry and feel beaten and defeated? Are you going to blame your friends, your parents, the planets? Or are you going to try to understand why you made the decisions that led to your unhappiness. If you understand yourself, you become wiser. You don’t make those same mistakes again. And that is how, inch by inch, you change your life.
Nowadays, when I see a Saturn transit coming, I say to myself, “time to get to work.” I read the planet being transited and expect to be tested there. So I get going in advance. When Saturn entered Virgo, I started getting organized. I am working on managing my time so that I can work more effectively and get more done in less time. Because I realize that can be an issue, and if I let myself go now, serious problems are likely to arise. Saturn square my natal Saturn goosed me to take better care of my health as well.
Nowadays, I kind of like Saturn transits. I relate to Saturn as a father figure who guides me by making obvious my wrong turns, not a cosmic bugbear out to make my life miserable. Yeah, it’s hard, but I learn so much during Saturn transits. And they are not anywhere near as hard as they were before I understood Saturn.
Under a Saturn transit to Venus, the emphasis is not on the partner you get, but the partner you are. Become the person you want to marry. Become the person your dog thinks you are. :) Focus on being a good partner— confident, mature, stable, trustworthy, helpful, emotionally available, good-hearted. Focus on being the best Leo with Venus in Virgo you can be— generous, creative, modest, helpful, practical, caring. Your lower tendencies— petty criticism, perfectionism, insecurity— learn to manage them. You can’t rid yourself of them (trying to would put you back in perfectionist mode), but you can refuse to let them drive the bus.
As time passes, as you become wiser, you’ll attract the right partner to you, as if by magic. You have a wonderful chart, some very interesting transits coming up, and I know you can have a happy life, but you have to create it. It’s not going to just happen.
I think things will start to shift for you— in a good way— by the beginning of 2008. Meanwhile, get to work! Good luck.

This descibes exactly what I’m going through as a Leo Sun with Venus in Virgo. It really has been a rough couple of years. Career wise things are looking up, but relationships have always been very hard for me to maintain, now more than ever! The men I’ve been dating just aren’t doing it for me, but I’m finding it harder to meet quality people. I hope this is a sign that things will get better….SOON! Thank you!

Sometimes I wonder about saturn. When saturn in transit hit my venus I inherited almost 20,000. Rewards? The other connections in the chart were also significant, like who it came from. Saturn is justice, good or bad, this lifetime or another. Then when saturn went through Leo (ruling parks) it wiped out a number of huge parks or almost did. Like Stanley Park, Vancouver and Kelowna and the bugs. What kind of justice was that about? I’m still wondering. The good news is I’m an earth sign so things are going to get more earthy in Virgo so I can relate. Yay!
4 · Molly · 10 October 2007
Hi Charlotte— re the parks, I don’t see Saturn as justice, more like cause & effect.

THank you for what you wrote about Saturn conjuncting Venus. I am currently experiencing this transit. While I haven’t exactly lost the opportunity for relationships, I have decided to take a step back from dating to work on myself so that when I do decide to start dating again, I can be in a better place so that my relationships will be successful. I didn’t realize it was Satrun conjunct natal Venus prompting me to do this until I read this!

Excellent, Julie. It’s good to hear from someone with a positive outlook & constructive attitude.

Wow…great write-up Molly! I’m also a Leo with Venus in Virgo and everything you said above completely rings true for me. It has been a difficult couple of years, but amazingly fruitful and an intense amount of positive change. When Saturn entered Leo I had a huge wakeup call that I was miserable in my life and my own choices were what got me there, but the flip side was I realized I had the power to choose differently and create the life I wanted. Now with Saturn in Virgo (my Venus and my Asc) I find myself really getting to the business of organizing myself so i can pursue creating the life i want as well as focusing on “being the partner I want to be with” and understanding exactly who that might be. It’s interesting to find that what I am drawn to work on intuitively is reflected in transits…it makes me want to learn more and more about astrology! thanks for the insight Molly :)

this is weird, i’m venus virgo, leo sun and all that rings true, loudly. i just started getting into natal astrology haven’t really delved into transits yet, but they seem like they might be more important. can anyone tell me more on the saturn transit, and how long they last and whats ahead for us venus virgo leo’s? or a place that has this info?

Amazing. I am a Leo with Venus in Virgo and your advice is very appropriate! Learning to foster the practical, helpful, caring side of me and understanding that there is an overly critical part of myself, that needs to be acknowledged, yet willingly managed, hopefully make this Saturn transit a fruitful time for me and all of us Leo’s with Venus in Virgo :)!

When I had saturn transiting my venus in cancer two years ago, we had the series of hurricanes (I live in Florida) and I couldnt work for a couple of weeks due to no electricity and thus severely effecting my ability to make money. I had to move in with a friend for a few weeks until things got straightened out, venus rules my IC.
I also got serious with a man not right for me at all and probably the most karmic relationship I ever had…wounds have healed though and now I have saturn sextiling my sun from the 8th and getting ready to sextile my venus…all is good and its better than ever!
12 · Molly · 28 October 2008
Excellent, Heather. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I’m glad things have taken a turn for the better.

Charlotte: I am really worried about a friend I have known for many years. He has a debilitating illness and he will have Saturn about to conjunct his Sun AND Moon at 11 degrees. Incidentally, I have Venus at 12 of Virgo. His Asc. is Aquarius (opposition my Leo Asc.) I know there are planetary contacts here but don’t have the knowledge to make heads or tails of it all. Can you advise me?

I have been a student of astrology for years and years. However, I have never been comfortable with the definition of Sun in Leo for myself. Perhaps because I have Saturn on my ascendant or perhaps because I have Moon, Venus and Mars in Virgo. I always seem so much more a Virgo than a Leo. I just don’t know what to think. As much as I love the subject and science of Astrology, I sure wish I could get an accurate reading for myself. I have a very definite birth time as indicated on my birth certificate, giving me not only a Leo Sun but Leo rising, as well. Still I just don’t identify outwardly as a Leo. What in the world should I do? Read and identify with both Leo and Virgo? That seems silly to me. After all, according to the Astrological rules, I am, indeed a Leo. Drives me batty. -David, in Richland, GA.
15 · Molly · 5 February 2009
David, if Saturn conjoins your ascendant, it will definitely color things. Another issue is that a lot of “typical Leo” descriptions tend to be pretty one-dimensional. It confuses a lot of Leos who are quiet or shy and think a Leo should be more of a “party hardy” type.
Read my piece on Leo and see if that fits any better.

I’m a Leo Sun with Moon, Mars, and Venus in Virgo with Saturn opp. Midheaven and have never felt much like a Leo either. For most of my life I’ve felt far more critical than carefree.
Umm, yes..I’ve been having a horrible time for the last few months, and it’s only seeming to get worse. I’m not extremely knowledgeble in Astrology I’ve been looking to see if the way I’ve been feeling is affected by anything planetary.
17 · Marley · 6 May 2009
I’m a Taurus, Moon in Leo, Rising Scorpio (I try to to be aware to be flexible) Since January 2009 life has been very trying, the craziest I believe I have ever felt. The highs are high but the lows are devastating.

I am in love with a leo man and we want to marry. I am a virgo i feel so confused as most reports claim we are different but i love him too much and we do not fight often but love each other

my dob is 14 Oct 1974 born at 1520 hrs IST, Lucknow, India. I have a Stallium in 8th house, ie in Sign Virgo as per the sidereal method and equal house system. Saturn is about to transit and make a conjunction with all the 4 planets ie. moon, venus, sun and mars. Even more saturn would be making a square to the natal saturn and even pluto would be making a square with natal pluto in transit. Based on the situation, I would be very grateful and thankful if you bring some insight to the possible effects of the cosmic happenings.
20 · Susi · 28 September 2009
I am at the end of my rope – I don’t know what to do or how to go about it lately. I have mars and venus in Virgo. Sun in Libra – mercury in libra – moon in aries – libra rising. What is going on and when will things get better financially, emotionally and in regards to a relationship?
21 · Molly · 30 September 2009
Susi, it sounds like you’re going through Saturn transits. Things get better as soon as you take responsibility for what isn’t going right and take proactive steps to make it better. Sorry to be a toughie, but that is the energy of Saturn. It makes you stronger, so that hopefully you come out of this period having accomplished something important.
22 · Prometheus · 14 October 2009
Virgo with a six planet stelium and leo Rising.
Saturn sometimes removes the Virgo’s out of the picture to make others do all of the work they never did before. Its not because Virgo’s were slacking off.
Many of us virgo’s were doing too much WAY TOO MUCH !
So Saturn decided to make it so we would be able to do NOTHING. Every Virgo I know is laid off and my old boss a Capricorn is still emailing me asking me what he should do. I have no choice but to help him because he is my only reference. And thats Saturn in Virgo for a Virgo…
Serve or suffer……
23 · Prometheus · 14 October 2009
The point I am makiing in the above post.
Venus in Virgo with Saturn and then more Virgo will
give you the ability to keep structure in your relationships based on mutual logic and self interest.
Both parties endure the relationship based on mutual needs.
Its not about love or passion or even fun friendships.
Its about efficiency in relationships..

Hi!
Sun-moon conjunction in leo (4th), saturn-mercury conjunction in the beginning of virgo (5th), venus-south node-mars conjunction at the end of virgo (6th house) and pluto in libra (6th house)here. Oh yes, I had a couple of interesting years. Loosing family members, health issues, being depressed and doing my work anyway, it was hard and its not over yet. But I do feel amazed at how much God loves me, for He was with me every step of the way, even when I was angry at Him. I am quite interested at what the saturn conjunction pluto will spur my way.. Pluto is the ruler of 7th house in my chart, so things might get even more interesting.
