Dog in the Doghouse
Posted under astrology
I wrote this post in November. While making some changes to my site, I found it & realized I had never posted it. So enjoy my thoughts on Dog, a little late.
I posted last week about Dog the Bounty Hunter. Since then, the proverbial poo has hit the fan for Dog.
Caught on tape using the n-word. If you haven’t heard the story, his son taped a heated conversation in which Dog expressed his dislike for his son’s black girlfriend. Dog used the n-word and other ugly language. His son retaliated by selling the tape to the National Enquirer.
What an unfortunate and stupid choice of words by Dog. I understand why people are upset. For what it’s worth, I don’t see him as a hateful person at all. He did use racist language, but I don’t think he’s the kind of person that judges people by their skin color. I imagine he has reasons for not liking this woman that are unrelated to her race.
Many of us have a trait that is both a blessing and a curse. Dog’s is his big mouth. Like many others, I enjoyed watching Dog on his show just being who he is— completely present and in the moment. But in this case, his lack of filtering between brain and mouth (Mercury square Jupiter) is his downfall. He has lost a great deal of respect, and he may have lost his career, or at least his spot in the public eye.
If I am right and Dog was born in the afternoon/evening and has a Cancer or Virgo ascendant, then Pluto is currently square his Moon and possibly Ascendant too. And it also squares his natal Mars. Betrayal (Pluto) of a secret (Pluto) by a family member (Moon)— ouch. Pluto transits are intense. It wouldn’t suprise me to hear he had received death threats or worse. I have no doubt that he’s suffering now.
Mars in Pisces is inconjunct Saturn in Libra in his chart, and Mercury squares Jupiter— I suspect this isn’t the first time his big mouth has gotten him in trouble.
He says he’s sorry and he wants to make it right. And I think he’s sincere in that. The question now is, will his career recover? I see transiting Pluto (transformation, death and rebirth) square the Moon and Mars, but sextile Saturn (career). So I feel that he’ll rise from his ashes eventually. But it will take time. If my Virgo rising guess is correct, then Saturn either is or soon will be in his first house— that’s about rebuilding (Saturn) your identity (first house), and no doubt dealing with very harsh (Saturn) criticism (Virgo) for Dog.

Nice belated post! Very Merc Retro.
Hahaa—I did a dumb Mercury retro thing and bought a hanging lamp. Ok, so it was only 7 bucks, but still. It is orange which goes with the fall colors in my living room, but the light which emanates from it when it’s on is so UNBEARABLY orange that it gives me a headache after about 5 seconds. UGH! Ahha. Amusingly, I found a toned-down paper lantern that I already had which ended up working better.
I also ordered some new business cards but I hope I don’t regret that. They aren’t EXACTLY like I want them but they’re pretty close.
Umm sorry. This post has nothing to do with your Dog post. And I agree with you on that whole blaming race for not liking someone when in fact there can be several reasons for not liking someone. Prejudice can be a valid reason for some people but generally it is used to justify other things.
Happy Weekend to you, dearie!
