Conjunctions can have an orb of 10 degrees or more. Their effect is to inseparably combine the energies of the planets involved, each making the other planet more powerful. First note and ponder the planetary energies of the conjunction, then ponder them in the context of the sign. They will manifest most strongly in the sign/s and house/s the conjunction occupies. Next in the houses ruled by the planets involved.
Sun Conjunctions:
Strength, willpower, creative ability.
Moon Conjunctions:
Intense feelings and dominant emotional influence.
Mercury Conjunctions:
The mind is given power and understanding in reasoning and communicating ability.
Venus Conjunctions:
Heightened expression of social, romantic and aesthetic proclivities…
Gentleness and grace attract others.
Mars Conjunctions:
Self-affirmation, courage, anger, independence, energy. Tendency to take direct action.
Jupiter Conjunctions:
General attitude of optimism, good will and awareness of constructive possibilities, generous, gains willing cooperation of others.
Saturn Conjunctions:
Ambition and hard work, but many obstacles and limitations to be overcome. Conservative, serious and respected for self-discipline, but austerity can discourage warm relationships.
Uranus Conjunctions:
Originality, creativity and dynamic tendencies. Genius. Unusual behavior, and independent attitude. Prone and to sudden changes.
Neptune Conjunctions:
Affairs of the other planet(s) involved are difficult or impossible to understand. Other planet(s) are channels for intuition, mysticism, otherworldliness.
Pluto Conjunctions:
Power to transform one’s own self and one’s own life. Powerful will
(can be overbearing). Penetrating insight and power of concentration.

Molly,
I am trying to find information about Pluto conjuncts Ascendent. Has it passed, or is there still time? I know it is very important. Where can I find more information?
Thanks,
Mary

Hi Mary-- Pluto is currently at 23 Sag. I can't tell you if it has passed the conjunction to your Ascendant, because I don't know your ascendant. If you know some astrology, you can get your chart and an ephemeris and figure it out. Otherwise you would probably benefit a lot by having a professional read it for you.

Hi Molly,
Happy Holidays to you and your family. I just had a quick question about what it means when the Moon conjuncts Saturn in a Natal Chart. I have a love interest who has this aspect, and he seems to enjoy long-term relationships (track record has shown). Just wondering what this could signify, if anything. He is 29 years old, and almost past his Saturn Return. Saturn doesn't hit his Saturn exact again, but comes 2 degrees close to it in April in his 2nd house. Just wondering what this all means. This guy is such a sweet man, and very loving. It seems like he in his heart of hearts would like relationships to last long. I know that Saturn conjuncting the moon has to do with relationships but also home. Thanks Molly for any insights...you're the best.

Dear Molly
First of all congratulations for your wonderfully informative site, which is also easy-to-navigate to foreign-speaking language people. I've recommended it many a times here in Brazil.
How would your read a conjunction between Sun, Jupiter and Saturn, all within a few degrees distnce, on the first house (in Virgo) on a Natal Chart?

Dear Molly
You have a great site! So much to learn from a good teacher!
Would you please explain a T- SQUARE FOR ME?
My DOB 6-18-1957 6:15 am Louisville, Kentucky
I was told that I HAVE A TRANSITING- PROGRESSED T-SQUARE COMING SOON!
The T- SQUARE IS SUPOSEDLY WITH – PLUTO- SUN-JUPITER! And HOW LONG with the effects of this be?
I have no ideas as to what I am up against or how to handle and avoid making anything worse. Do I need to find a CAVE and HIDE?
Please advise? MUCH APPRECIATED IN ADVANCE!
Sincerely —Becca Whiteowl – ( with my head tucked under my wings)

Hi Molly ♥
Do clients ever come to you asking for a Synastry Chart to be drawn up between them and another? Do you place much importance on these types of charts, with regards to compatibility? If so, I had a question about one aspect in particular. If the males moon is at zero degrees Leo in the first house, and it conjuncts the female’s Venus at 7 degrees (Leo, 1st House), is that an aspect indicative of a positive connection? If so, is it a rare connection to have this aspect with another? ♥
Actually, if this link is still active, here is the synastry chart that I am referring to.

Hi Britney—
You ask a lot of questions!
Don’t you think you would be well served by a real reading?
Imagine the things I could help you understand in an hours' time.
There is a lot to explore in your chart and this synastry without trying to do it comment by comment.
E-mail me and we can talk about it.

Hi Molly
Can you suggest reading material on the affects of a current Solar Eclipse transiting a natal T-Square?
Thanks
Bridgid
9 · Molly · 19 March 2006
Hi Brigid— Nothing specifically on that.. I would suggest reading up on your t-square, because the eclipse highlights it and may bring up issues around it in your life. The more you know, the more you can handle these things with awareness of the bigger picture. And that helps a lot!

Hi Molly,
Do you consider the Galactic Center? I have moonconjunct Galactic center in my horoscope and I
was wondering what the current Pluto transit through
that point would do.
11 · Desert · 2 May 2006
2-10-06, exact conjunction of transiting pluto to natal north node AND solar return pluto conjunct natal north node. Transit occurring in 3rd house.
During the first “pass” I was in two major vehicle accidents within 9 days. I’m still ambulatory but disabled, hopefully temporary, with significant spinal injuries.
Looking for some direction as to where to focus my attention before the 2nd and 3rd pass arrive so that I don’t fully implode.
12 · Molly · 3 May 2006
ASP Pluto conjunct your Moon is a significant enough transit. I would focus on learning about that as it comes up. The Galactic Center is a universal point, it doesn't have much to do with personality. So Pluto conj. GC will be something universal that happens to everyone, and with your Moon conj. GC you may be more tuned into it than most. (Google Pluto conjunct GC to find out about it, I don't have an opinion on it.) But the big deal for you on a personal level will be Pluto conj. your Moon.
Hi Desert
Sorry to hear about your bad luck.
My hunch is there's something else going on in your chart that signalled the accident. The process of change that ensues in your life as a result, I think, is part of this Pluto transit. But that does not mean the same thing will happen on the 2nd and 3rd passes. These have more to do with integrating these new ideas and changes into your life.
Your natal North Node symbolizes how you connect with others. And a Pluto transit to the North Node would signal the arrival of a powerful, healing, transformative connection with a person, philosophy, and/or group of people.
Now, this connection might come about in a roundabout way. Every cloud has a silver lining.. and illness and injury, while they might not be what we had in mind, do have the powerful side benefit of shifting our perspective tremendously. And I think this may open a few doors for you.
So I would focus my attention as much as possible on positive Plutonian ideas. Healing, forgiveness, deep self-awareness, letting go of the past, of guilt, transforming and transcending. Awareness of power in your life. It would be a good time to find a therapist to help you dig deep.

HI- I came across your website and I think you are quite proficient in astrology. I have a 0 degree Capricorn rising, and I know that Pluto is conjuct (not exact) with my rising. Could you tell me a bit more about what to expect. Taurus Sun 20 degrees, Scorpio moon 0 degrees. Thank you Elyse

I AM EXPERIENCING A PLUTO TRANSIT TO MY NORTH NODE AT 26 SAG, THE GALALTIC CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. THIS IS TAKING PLACE IN MY FOURTH HOUSE AND MY MOTHER IS HAVING HEALTH PROBLEMS…ANY INSIGHT YOU CAN ASSIST WOULD HELP THANK YOU,MJ
15 · Karen · 24 September 2007
Hi Molly — I have transiting pluto absolutely conjuncting my north node (26 degrees sag.) just into 8th house and in opposition to natal gemini sun-mercury conjunction 24degrees. I am a Gemini-Gemini rising (2 degrees) with venus conjunct my rising sign…
for 2 years I have been unable to hold a job …I am a REIKI master, write and work on my manuscripts but it feels like everything I try to hold onto falls away from me with great speed… How to find Balance? Positive Aspect? Focus?
16 · Molly · 26 September 2007
Hi Karen— I don’t necessarily find a link between the Pluto transit you mention and the problems you’re describing. I would need your entire chart to work out the story. If you want to set up a personal reading, I’d be happy to work with you. Feel free to get in touch.
17 · ANnie · 18 November 2007
Hi! I was wondering what does it mean to have have in your natal chart Neptune in 27 degrees SAgittarius 8th house, conjunct galactic centre
18 · Trish · 27 November 2007
Hi Molly:
My natal South Node is at 29 degrees Sag with transitting Pluto within orb of 1 degree (9th house.) I have natal Pluto in exact opposition to my natal Sun + Venus in Aquarius (11th house) and Pluto is also part of my yod ..so I am very familiar with Pluto’s MO. But things are definitely heating up right now. Would appreciate your insights.
19 · Myrene · 3 December 2007
I still don’t understand this solar business. Can you please tell me when does the following supposed to happen?
Solar Return 5th house on natal 8th house? this is totally foreign to me!
20 · Claire Higham · 24 February 2008
Hi
I have mercury, venus, mars and pluto all conjunct in my 5th house in libra and I am trying to work out what this means – any comments would be great!
21 · Joe · 18 March 2008
ON your page, it says : Neptune Conjunctions:
Affairs of the other planet(s) involved are difficult or impossible to understand. Other planet(s) are channels for intuition, mysticism, otherworldliness.
My Neptune is conjunct my midheaven which is in capricorn. What does this mean?
22 · Rajan Mehra · 15 December 2008
Do conjuctions between transiting planets have an effect on individuals? If we take as an example Mars conjunct Pluto on 28 December 2008. If Pluto is transiting one’s 4th house, what will be the effect of a Mars Pluto conjunction, which does not involve any natal planets?
23 · Molly · 16 December 2008
Hi Rajan— Yes, absolutely. My monthly forecasts and Lance’s daily forecasts deal mainly with the transiting aspects. That’s the energy we all feel. And you can watch and note the house— that’s where you feel it more strongly. Also note your Aries and Scorpio houses, ruled by Mars and Pluto.
24 · Natalie · 23 November 2009
Hi, I have a conjunction in my chart — Sun conjunction Mars — but its right on the point between the 5th and 6th houses — on computerized charts its usually placed into the 6th. i believe its the only one in my chart — is it important?
25 · Molly · 23 November 2009
Yes, a conjunction to the Sun is especially important.

dear molly, iam a practising & reaserch astrologer living in INDIA, where asrology is apart of day today life .Iam happy, going through your site & i do agree many, but with regard to the conjunctions & aspects i find entire sign area has to be considered, not that planet has to be within 10degrees or so.THANKS & regards

Satyan, if you are a practicing astrologer, then you must know that the Vedic and Western systems use very different methods to interpret the chart. Using Vedic methods to interpret western charts does not work, and it does not work the other way around either.
