Saturn in last degrees of Virgo

Saturn moves through the last degrees of Virgo, and enters Libra for the first time in 27 years at the end of the month. The waning part of the Lunar cycle, in play from now until the 17th, is a little neurotic as Mercury and Venus in Virgo contend with the Uranus Saturn opposition. We have a strong desire to be free from tensions and limitations. There are insights into practical ways to achieve this liberation for those of us who are willing to step outside the worry and frustration, sit down and have a think about our options. Contracts and agreements written at this time are subject to change. Existing agreements that are no longer working may be broken.

Mercury opposes volatile Uranus on October 4th, then carries the light to serious Saturn on October 8th. Mercury then crosses into Libra and forms a square to Pluto on the 10th, which brings restless thinking, subtlety, and looking for deeper meanings. Bring out the best in the situation by being sensitive to other people’s insecurities. We have all been through a lot here. Your ideas and words can heal or destroy.

Meanwhile, Venus is also moving through the end of Virgo and through the Saturn-Uranus opposition. This is strongest from October 8-12. The more rigid you are, the more easily you come apart. Unless it’s a make or break issue, be flexible and give the situation some breathing room.

Financially, Venus says play it responsible and conservative. Although you may find a terrific bargain on something around the 9-12th as Venus conjoins Saturn and Mars sextiles Saturn. It’s a great weekend for yard sales and auctions.

Venus crosses into Libra and into a square with Pluto on the 13-15th. The square to Pluto in Capricorn brings up deep insecurities about structural changes we know we need to make in life. Make the best of a difficult situation by going deep with your own feelings, rather than papering a smiley face over a painful truth.

October 16 – 31

Mars enters Leo and the shadow of the upcoming Mars retrograde on October 16.

There’s a shift that comes with the new Moon, kicking off the “building up” phase of a new cycle, early on the 18th. It’s a sweet and sociable vibe as two major kisses appear. The first is a trine from Mercury and Venus in Libra to Jupiter and Neptune in Aquarius. The second is a sextile to Pluto as this duo enters Scorpio.

Load up your calendar with important meetings, calls, projects and purchases in these two weeks between October 18 and 31, while skies are open and friendly. Pay attention to who calls you and who you meet during this time.

The Sun moved through the trine to Jupiter and Neptune, dishing up some creative inspiration in the midst of all the excitement last week. This week, the Sun carries that energy to Pluto, enabling solutions, constructive application of your strength and creative power, your will and focus. This is exact around the 20-23rd.

Mercury, planet of ideas and commerce, moves through the trine to abundant, generous Jupiter on the 19-20th and carries the light to imaginative Neptune on the 24th.
