Molly's Astrology for March 2013
Back to Nature
Be humble, for you are made of earth. Be noble, for you are made of stars. – Serbian proverb
In March we can work in a spiritual way with material things, especially the things of nature: plants, animals, elementals like fire, stone, and water – also our own bodies. Often we think of ourselves as separate from our material existence. We only pay attention to the body when there is pain. This month, take time to notice the connection between emotional and physical well-being or distress. To be truly well, it is important to give serious attention to mind, emotions, and body. Budget for wellness and self-improvement. Try counseling and/or body work. Visit a park or nature area. Do activities based on body awareness – Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, Alexander Technique, meditation. If you are a body worker or healing arts practitioner, this is a great time to teach or take a class, promote yourself, and expand your awareness. The stronger our roots, the higher we can rise and open to Spirit. By connecting with our bodies and with the Earth, we ready ourselves for healing.
Day by Day
Even though Mercury is still retrograde, skies are clear and work is productive. Opening up in a meaningful way moves you forward on major relationship issues around March 5-6. It’s time to let go of the past and make space for the new. It’s a great week for a therapy session, or a review of the financial plan. Set yourself up for better communication, better relationships, better cash flow in the future. Energy levels pick up on March 12 and continue to increase gradually over the next seven days, as three planets move into fiery Aries.
The New Moon in Pisces on March 11 begins a cycle when proportions and appropriateness are more difficult to gauge. A tendency to exaggerate, on the part of speaker or listener, may cause misunderstanding. March 22-26, the vibe turns choppy as Mars makes contact with the Volatility Vortex (flip ahead to May for more info). Bodies and tempers heat up. The middle fingers will come out, and bridges will be burned. People are irritable, impatient and in a “shoot first, ask questions later” mood. March 27-31, the Volatility Vortex visits the social landscape. Hookups, breakups, and high drama are on the scene. Take care of yourself.
Astro-Nerd Box: Chiron

The Wounded Healer, Chiron, touches three planets this month: Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. As we revisit the energy that we first saw in Fall of 2012, we work in a deeper, more personal way with the issues we met with then. Chiron represents your awareness of and connection with your own body, and with the Earth, plants, and animals. Another aspect of Chiron’s archetype is the outcast or oddball. As Chiron meets the productive and transformative synergies represented by the Virtuous Circle detailed in the January forecast, you have greater access to this part of yourself. Rejoice in your inner nerd! Chiron was a misfit until he found his calling. If you are not fitting in somewhere, the challenge is to find your unique gift and commit to nurturing it. What makes you different also makes you uniquely qualified to do something valuable. Now is a good time to find out what.
Mark your Calendar!
The best days for your top priority plans are March 3-7, 16-20, 30, 31.
Take it easy March 21-27.

Molly, I am struggling completing an assignment for my doctoral studies. I am a virgo with Aquarius rising. It seems as if my brain has gone dead or either I am not thinking clearly with Mercury Retrograde. I am ready to quit. Any advice. Virginia

Virginia – I can’t tell much about what’s going on in your chart given only those two data points. During a time like this, it is fairly normal to space out, especially when your brain has been working so hard. Your mind and body may need a little space from the project. Explore and exercise for an hour or two, or take a whole day off if you can, then see if you don’t come back to it with a fresh perspective. Let me know how it goes.

Love reading your page Molly! I’m a Taurus, boyfriend an Aries, his ex wife a Leo, playing many head games & has taken his phone so he can’t call me. He’s supposed to only be over there a week, then fly back, but I can’t even communicate with him. :-(

Molly, just found your site. I love it! I am concerned about the March Full moon. My 16 yr old is Aries with Leo rising. The Full moon is opposing his natal sun, moon and saturn in the 8th house. Am I right to worry? I also have a hit to the 8th (full moon is in it) I am Aquarius (intercepted in 1st) with Capricorn rising.
