January forecast
Hi folks—

Yes, I am going to write a forecast for January. I just haven’t yet. I got caught up in all the excitement of doing nothing over the holidays. Like Peter in one of my all-time favorite movies, Office Space, “I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything I thought it could be.” I vacationed at home and caught up on some of the “other stuff” that I mean to do during workaday life, but don’t think I have enough time to. And I didn’t get my forecast written. I’m really sorry it’s so late. It is near the top of my list of things to do, now that I’m back in the game.
Meanwhile, here’s the short version from my 2007 calendar. (There are still a few copies available if you want one.)
Jupiter square Uranus— “Lots of” squares “Change, rebellion, nervous energy, technology, invention, unusual things.” Squares signal tension that compels us to action. On the positive side, we can use this tension to better ourselves and our circumstances. Uranus energy can bring things to a breaking point, a place of “I can’t stand to do this another day!” And this can be productive if there are areas where you need to break free in order to live in alignment with your truth, your “higher mind,” your philosophy and morality (Jupiter). Be open to change, but don’t jump off any cliffs.
On the negative side, there are technology problems, and sudden shifts that take us by surprise. Don’t gamble more than you can afford to lose, or take unnecessary risks. It’s likely we will see lots of (Jupiter) divorces and separations (Uranus) around us and in the mass media. Job changes are also likely, and unusual money making ideas that may turn out to be scams. Just because it’s unusual, doesn’t mean it’s good. Investigate things carefully. Many friendships and social groups, as well as professional and political alliances, go through a period of instability and change.
Best days
January 6-8, Mars trine Saturn— plans unfold as intended. Work goes smoothly. Authorities are more open to your ideas.
Hot-Spots
January 10-12, Mars conjunct Pluto. Mars is impulsive and active, and Pluto is extreme and powerful. This combination can be very productive, but it’s explosive at the same time. Stay away from dangerous places and uncompromising people.
January 25-26, Mars sesquisquare Saturn— Frustrating delays. Possibility of knee/joint problems for those who are susceptible. Avoid surgery and dental work.

To Susan Lean: Go to www.astro.com and click on “free horoscopes,” then on “extended chart selection”—you will find a natal chart option, click on that. Choose at the lower left the additional option of Vertex. If you input your information including time of birth, you will get a full chart including Vertex. You can also do much more specialized charts and forecasts, and choose the “active” charts for on the spot interpretation of each factor in the chart. This site is a treasire trove!
